I designed this logo for my sister and her new business venture.
She has always been very interested in interior design and has finally got the chance to put those ideas to use. Which of course lead to needing a logo, and what a surprise her brother just happens to be a graphic designer!

Concept
Now if I knew my sister and her style, which is a bit more of an eclectic style mixing old with new I knew I could use that, and it helped me to lean into more of an Art Deco style. Throughout my sketch I was working on creating a more stylized "S" shape as the main logo and I kept seeing a deco window in my head. After playing around with how that could work, I came up with a few concepts to bring into Illustrator and refine further.
Color and Stuff
She told me that she wanted something elegant and professional with a black and white color scheme, cream accents, and script font. The only real stipulation was that she didn't want her logo to include a house in anyway. I agreed and dived into the research, planning and brainstorming of how this logo should look. I sketched out designs for days and was starting to close in on a few concepts.
Final
I sent her my initial concept as well as a few variations and she loved the direction and was drawn more to one of the variants and wanted to see more of that. I reworked the design to fit, and we had a winner.
The final design not only fits her personality and style; but also showcases the elegant and professional look she was going for; and not a single house to be found!
